Summary & key words

« This report assesses recent human rights due diligence (HRDD)-related efforts of three European countries -the Netherlands, Germany and France-, with a specific focus on the policy frameworks that are used, and new multi-stakeholder initiatives and regulatory measures that are taken. This comparative analysis is then used to assess Belgium’s efforts on contributing to sustainable supply chains. The findings of the research also serve as an input for future policy influencing work by Belgian civil society organisations, which are active on the topic of business and human rights. This report assesses recent human rights due diligence (HRDD)-related efforts of three European countries -the Netherlands, Germany and France-, with a specific focus on the policy frameworks that are used, and new multi-stakeholder initiatives and regulatory measures that are taken.
